Amazing Atlanta Art

Amazing Atlanta Art

I saw this graffitti in Atlanta and thought it might be interesting to my students, especially any of my fifth graders who saw the art of Radcliffe Bailey at the High Museum two years ago. Do you recognize the man in the sea of wooden pieces? What does this mean? Is this art or vandalism? The truth is, this is art. It is part of the Living Walls Project in Atlanta and many other places in the U.S.
I can’t believe the last day of school is tomorrow. In a way it’s gone really slowly. In other ways, the end of the school year is happening far too quickly. From a teacher’s point of view, it is a time of year to celebrate and reflect. Right now I am so appreciative for the opportunity to be the Art Teacher at Liberty Point for the past four years. My students are unforgettable and precious. Getting to know the children at my school has been such a privelege. Thank you!
